それは、英語と日本語のバランスがとても良く、日本人としての思いやりの心も育むことができる点です。東京の英語保育園は今まで3ヶ所見てきましたが、どこも外国に来たのかと錯覚するような100%英語文化の園でした。しかし、日本人としての親切で心が通じる清潔感やルールを守るという点においては当然弱い印象を受けて、幼少期の生活指導は大丈夫になるのかと不安を感じていました。

At that time, we were living in Tokyo. However, we moved to Ota City last year in order to enroll our children in an international school. What impressed us most was the excellent balance between English and Japanese, and how the school nurtures Japanese values like thoughtfulness and consideration for others. However, they often lacked the warmth and clarity of Japanese-style hospitality and rules, which are so important in early childhood development. While those schools excelled at creating an English-speaking environment, they didn’t provide the foundational social skills that children need to become thoughtful members of society. Milton’s, on the other hand, has both Japanese and English-speaking teachers who work together harmoniously, and both Japanese and foreign teachers show mutual respect and cultural understanding. The teachers warmly and firmly guide the children — gently scolding when needed and always listening to them with care. We used to worry that if the culture is too different from what they’ll encounter in Japan, our child might lose that essential foundation. But at Milton’s, that worry disappeared. Now, there are many English-language preschools out there, but Milton’s is the only one we’ve found that has a truly effective and balanced approach — a place where the children are well-prepared both academically and culturally to succeed at international schools. Finally, in Tokyo, there’s fierce competition to get into schools with strong English programs. Popular schools have acceptance rates of less than 10%, and siblings often can’t even get in. Considering all of that, we’re very happy we made the decision to move to Ota City so our children could attend an international school, and we feel confident that more families seeking that kind of quality education will follow. Milton’s offers the kind of foundational preparation and recommendation system that makes international schools and Ota City a great match. At home, our child used to be quite difficult, but since joining Milton’s, we have seen a complete transformation.
